thoughts from a new native of Onterrible

Well, if anything I can say that my first couple weeks in Ontario have been up and down. Problems with Bell Mobility got things off to a not-so-good start, but it was counterbalanced with the positive of really liking my (and Caitlin's) new apartment. Western, in many ways, is exactly as I was told--BIG MONEY and a bunch of spoiled undergrads burning around in Daddy's Mercedes and partying until all hours of the night. That being said, the grad students in my program are very likeable and I have made some friends already. The program is going to be very labour-intensive, but provided that I stay on top of it all, I should be all right.

London is a decent city and I am getting familiar with it. The quality of the roads themselves is pretty poor and the people drive like they are possessed, but it is relatively easy to find your way around out here, especially if you use a map like we do. Church has been great and the people are all very warm and welcoming, probably more so than many other places I have attended.

Well, time to get studying. I haven't really been listening to any new music nor read any new books because I haven't had time. Other than Ontario, I haven't much to rant about either (sorry for the lack of entertainment value). Until next time...

Slave baby, the slave, that's Audioslave for those not in the know. I will have to send you some digital files of the CD young Matthew cause this album will get you through some long hours of studying.
