rejection
Today I received not one, but two grad school rejection letters in the mail which always makes for a sunny end to the day. UBC (no real surprise there) and the University of Alberta (big surprise) both gave King Bing the thumbs down regarding their Masters programs. I was not really choked about Vancouver because I didn't particularly want to go there anyway, but Edmonton stung a little bit I must admit. I am choosing to look at it as the glass being half full rather than half empty. I have been unofficially accepted to Dalhousie University, one of the nation's most prestigious schools, which is an achievement in itself and that is where I will go. Halifax will be so fun and it will be a chance to reconnect with my roots (Mom's side of the family are native Bluenosers) and an opportunity for both a change of pace and setting. Heck, I should be thankful to have the assurance that I get to leave my job and get on with my life. It will be great to get back to school, no matter where it is. God is good and has taken care of me and for that I am most truly blessed!

I know what getting a rejection in the mail is like- a punch to your gut. Two socks in one day, boy that's tuff. Just know that you have a huge gift of encouragement... You have a huge gift of encouragement. I hope that encourages you...congrats on Dalhousie
