So, I had my first of two potential interviews for the two maternity leave positions at GVPL yesterday. The verdict: I sounded like a KNOB, in my humble opinion. My interviewers were fantastic and supportive, attempting to put me at ease. Sadly, it didn't work and I stammered and stuttered my way through it with one stupid, (probably) uninformed answer after another. The presentation aspect, I believe, was far better than the actual question period and tends to be the area in which I excel or at least acquit myself reasonably. The below is the best visual representation of how I think I sounded throughout the entire interview:
Better luck next time, dumbass...

I'm sorry to read that your interviews didn't go as well as you had hoped. I always like phone interviews because then the interviewers can't see the awkward facial expressions I make after each of my bs answers to their questions. Also, I have found that the awkward silence in an interview becomes ten times worse on the phone.
Hmm. I like the picture. Quite a lot.
You yourself have said that you are your harshest critic, so, it probably wasn't as bad as you think... But I am sorry that you think it didn't go as well as you had hoped.
Do you know when potential interview #2 will be?
Sorry to hear that chief... on the bright side, I have never seen anyone look so sexy while picking their nose!
Nice picture sexy man.
I'm sure it was great! You are ALWAYS your worst critic. I'll hold the faith for you :)
dude - that picure so reminds me of the "but father, i just want to sing" character from the holy grail. classic.
nice pickin'
I want to challenge some of the posters here:
I am Matt's harshest critic. Let's just get that straight okay? He is clearly an egotistical self-assured punk who needs a good reality check every once in awhile. I like to be that person who gives it to him.
Knowing this, I am sure that this post is simply just a little cry for attention, which seems to have worked, as you have all nicely stroked his ego once again. Nice work. Now my job just gets harder.
Matt, suck it up, act like the gaybrarian you are, and get back in their and show what for. Stop whining like a baby in order to get all your friends to make you feel like the King, and start acting like one. Get on with it!
And that's all I have to say about that!
PS. For those of you who do not know me well or who might still be reading this few day old post... I am kidding... for the most part. I like to make Matt laugh and sometimes you all get to enjoy the ride. :)
Matt,
Good portrayal of how you felt. It's interesting to note that in actuality that feeling is often the closest we can come to being our true selves so in effect your interview went extremely well from that perspective.
