One presentation is all that stands between me and my Masters degree. I will be delivering a riveting session on free business websites for my LIS 669 this coming Wednesday and then after that: sweet freedom (which means drinking a more-than-average amount of alcohol and celebrating heartily with my fellow librarians!). I am realizing how much I will miss people when I am done, though I won't miss the stress, nor the assignments. Some interesting things have happened/are happening at the end of semester:
1. Two friends of mine, who shall remain anonymous, joined Crackbook despite saying it would never happen (you know who you are!).
2. I am having my one year wedding anniversary this Sunday where my wife has chosen to rock out with Sam Roberts at Harris Park in downtown London. What a babe! I am pretty stoked...
3. I finally actually got an 80% on something in my LIS 613 class after trying and struggling for the entire semester. Most of the time, pulling off an 80 is par for the course for me, but not in this class. She said in her feedback that I must have had a hard week because there were a lot of typos in my report. Pretty funny that my most typo-ridden work is what pulls down the highest mark. Hey, that's library school--you think you tank, you get an A; you put in the work, you get a 73...
Expect more blog entries this coming week as my workload wanes. Then it's off to my homeland and my family, who I haven't seen for a year! Cheers...
