I would hate to be the pitcher(s)
Barry Bonds, the athlete I loathe more than almost any other, is one home run away from tying Henry Aaron's record for the most home runs all-time (755). I was just thinking how much I would hate to be the pitcher who gave up home run number 756 (or even the tying dinger) to Barry "The Juice Pig" Bonds. You will be immortalized in trivia questions for the rest of your life. No matter what you do for the rest of your pitching career, unless you are already on your way to the Baseball Hall of Fame, you will forever be remembered by baseball fans as "the guy who gave up the BIG ONE to Barry Bonds". Maybe said pitcher will be happy to be part of one of the most memorable record-breaking moments in sports, I don't know, but if it were me I would be dogged by the fact that I had helped a cheat break one of sport's most prestigious records because I, personally, loathe him and everything he stands for: arrogance, self-centredness, and dishonesty. For this, I am glad that I am a librarian rather than a Major League pitcher, though it is rumoured the pay isn't is good...
