In memorium: James Brown "The Godfather of Soul" (May 3, 1933-December 25, 2006)
I was very sad to hear of James Brown's passing this morning at the age of 73. Those who love funk music (like myself) owe a debt to Mr. Dynamite, the funkiest of them all, as he was one of the most influential artists in pop music history. I am going to listen to "Mother Popcorn", shake my can, and remember Soul Brother Number One, the Hardest Working Man in Show Business.
