the bitter taste of defeat

The Stanley Cup will remain property of the Americans for the 13th straight year as the Hurricanes disposed of the Oilers in Game 7 of the Cup finals last night. As a Canadian it was hard to watch Edmonton lose the game last night, though I admire the Carolina Hurricanes for their team play, the way they shut down the Edmonton offence, their magnificent penalty killing, and their goaltending (Conn Smythe winner Cam Ward). An all-around fine performance (minus game 6) by their organization. And I leave you with this: GO LEAFS 2007!!!
