Review: U2 Vertigo Tour 2005 DVD
How objective can I truly ever be about the band who has been the soundtrack to so many huge moments in my life? This is a great show from a great tour with a solid setlist. Some more rare songs would have been nice and sometimes the camera cuts from bandmember to bandmember area a bit too quick, thus distracting, but these are small complaints. "City of Blinding Lights", "Vertigo", "Miracle Drug", "Love and Peace or Else" and "Where the Streets Have No Name" are the standouts here. I love that the crowd are just as into the new songs as the old warhorses and for good reason because the songs from HTDAAB sound fantastic! If you are a fan, this is another great addition to your U2 collection and could possibly convert those who are only lukewarm on Ireland's favourite sons. Really, are U2 ever poor in concert? I think not.
