the gym
Recently I have been going to the gym in order to strengthen my hip flexors, which are weak, so that I may get back into running more seriously since I have been off with injury. Now, anyone who knows me knows that I love to run, but I hate going to the gym. It has less to do with the workouts than it does with "gym culture". You probably know what I am talking about. You know, the guys who are all greased up, staring at themselves in the mirror as they lift huge amounts weight, smiling at all the ladies who walk past. And the girls, who often look like they actually dress up to work out rather than dressing down because they want to impress the males. I think that they are actually on the prowl and that is the main reason for their fantastic gym attendance. I say hi to people I know, but generally keep to myself because I am not there to impress others with my stellar physique but to try to improve my fitness and health. Some of these people look laughably ridiculous with all their posing, posturing, and overt flirting. I can't say I understand it because of how silly it all seems, but nonetheless I do snicker to myself every day that I work out because it is cheap, convenient entertainment. Anyway, I am going to pump some iron...

Face it Bing your just plain jealous of all those guys..
I really don't get it either I mean really we are just working out so we can be in shape to work out the next day.....
Wow, I'm in the same place...I love to go for a run, but I hate going to the gym. In the summer, this is fine since I can run outside, but during the winter there isn't much choice. I'm starting to think a treadmill would be a good purchase right about now...
By the way, I like your reviews...keep up the great work!
