razor blades
A slight rant, if I can be so bold. I cannot believe that I have to pay $15 for 8 Gillette Mach 3 blades (not even Mach Turbo!) and at best I can get 2-3 good shaves out of one blade!! It is ridiculous what a piddly short amount of time a disposable blade will last. It costs a fortune just to keep my face looking gorgeous and therefore keep up my rep, you know what I am saying? I would perhaps return to the electric razor, but I really prefer the close, clean shave that the blade provides me. I realize that my legions of female readers will most likely not be able to sympathize with me, but men, I know you understand our mutual plight! Is there a solution? Other than switch to an electric, I would have to say no. Can I complain about it? Well, it's my blog so you're damn right I can! If there are other solutions to this problem, please let me and the rest of the male population in on them!!

to combat the conspiracy i weaned myself off shaving cream four years ago - finding that soap does just as good a job for much less the price.
today, four years later, i can proudly say that water is enough. no cream, no soap, just water. and best of all, no razorburn.
if this trend continues, i hope that my face will automatically shed 3-days growth by sheer will of the mind....
Technique, technique, technique. The way I see it the less razor strokes you use each shave the better. Easier on your face and the blade should last longer. I understand your plight young Bingham, stay strong and let the force be with you... and your razor.
