Million Dollar Baby
I watched this movie for the second time last night and was deeply moved once again by the story of the trailer trash girl from Missouri who wants to be a boxer and thus comes to a crotchety trainer played (marvellously, might I add) by Clint Eastwood. I don't feel like summarizing the movie or giving any of the plotline away. I just think that the film was beautifully written and shot. It was deeply sentimental without resorting to cliches or manipulative cinematic tactics. Few films have genuinely moved me like this and that, to me the complete cynic, is the genius of it. It was not hokey or stupid, the acting and dialogue were superb, and the story had balls, grit, and melancholy. King Bing's recommendation: WATCH THIS MOVIE!!!

Million Dollar Baby I think not. Hundred dollar baby if that. I guess they just had all those millions of dollars on there minds when they thought up this movie. Yes I know it won many a great awards, but come on it's not like the acadamy gets it right all the time look at godfather part 3!
