getting back in the loop

For the last year and a half or so, I have been fairly out of the loop musically. This can mostly be attributed to a lack of both time and money. The combination of school, a new marriage, and travel swallowed up most of both my time and money (and rightly so), but now that I am back in Victoria among my circle of artsy-fartsy music loving friends I am getting tons of new music and recommendations. My iPod is currently loaded with tons of new stuff--it's so nice to be discovering new artists and albums. I am currently touting as completely BRILLIANT:

The National: Alligator and Boxer

Patrick Watson: Close to Paradise

Radiohead: In Rainbows

Justin Hewitt: Justin Hewitt

And of course I am still listening to my friend Cindy Davis' A Year or More pretty consistently as well. That's all from me for now on music, but tune in to this space for more music reviews/recommendations soon...

In Rainbows: euphoric.

You also might like the new Nada Surf..."Lucky"

I've been re-discovering the amazing-ness of Sonic Youth lately, too. I'm sure your music savvy would appreciate some of their older stuff.
