Hey y'all! I am definitely missing my home and native land of British Columbia. London is muggy, hazy, and very hot, which makes me yearn for the ocean breezes of Victoria. Caitlin and I are drinking Growers Cider (which only appears to be sold in one store here) to both cool us down in the evening and remind us of home.
School is...well, school. I am looking forward to being finished my Masters in August and coming home to visit. Mark August 15 on your calendar--that's when King and Queen Bing will set foot on Vancouver Island (going to be in Vancouver for a couple days visiting before we go for our token ferry ride, which Caitlin is very stoked about!).
In the CD player lately: "Sky Blue Sky" by Wilco, "Us" by Peter Gabriel, "To Venus and Back" by Tori Amos, and "London Calling" by The Clash.
Reading lately: nothing but library stuff--no recommendations there unless you are having problems sleeping at night...

Ahhh the ferry ride. We also have opted for the ferry ride home. Don't know yet if we will regret that after flying from Malaysia (I think like 16 hrs), but we decided that it might be nice!
Heya, I've heard that new Wilco album is to die for - I have so much CD shopping to do when the OSAP boat comes in :D
And yeah, I'm right with you on the Ontario summer thing - I've been here now over a decade and I'll never be used to feeling like I'm living inside a dirty sponge for half the year.
miss you too
