Hilton goes to jail

Admittedly, I was pretty happy when I found out that Paris Hilton was going to jail for 45 days for violating her DUI parole. I am not one to pay attention to celebrity gossip (at all!), but when I found out that the judge sentenced her, not caring about her celebrity status, I thought to myself, "good, if it was some normal, everyday person they would be sentenced and so should she." It doesn't help that I find her the single most shallow, loathesome, and vacuous person ever--hell, she makes Jessica Simpson look good to me and that's saying something. What is surprising is that the sentencing is being looked at the general public as the best thing to happen since sliced bread! Now, that is funny!
