clearing up misunderstanding

In case I have been misunderstood, regarding my post from yesterday, I want to clarify that I believe that it is great to be able to talk about/share one's faith, but when you are hearing people describe Christians as 'crazy' or 'in your face', something is wrong. There is a lack of wisdom there. To enter into friendship with people strictly with the agenda of changing their thinking is both insulting and unloving. I have spoken to lots of people about my faith and most people know I am a Christian. If strictly the fact that I am a Christian is offensive to people, I am unapologetic about it--I would consider that just as being just as intolerant as we Christians are accused of being. What I am saying is sharing faith as a sales pitch, conquest, argument, or a proof of something (again, to borrow language from Brian McLaren) is ineffective and useless in our culture. I hope this clears things up what I was trying to say before...
