Hello all! Life is pretty peachy for me here in snowy London, Ontario. I thoroughly enjoyed my snow day Friday, as did Caitlin who did not have to work. The two of us cleaned, went for a walk, read, and watched a flic in the evening--it was very relaxing! Yesterday was spent shopping/doing errands with my great aunt. A reminder to you all: AVOID MALLS ON SATURDAYS!! What a horrible time that was, let me tell you. I am happy that Caitlin and I were able to get much-needed new footwear at a great Sport Mart sale, but I just about lost it in the process because of the traffic and the insanity of the mall parking lot. It was nasty!
Last night was spent at a fun birthday/end-of-semester party at my friend Carolyn's place. We ate great food, had fun reminscing about the semester and taking fun pictures, among other things. Tonight is another party at our friends' place and it should be pretty kickin' as well.
On a more somber note, the Leafs have lost 7 straight and are headed towards the basement of the Northeast Division. I predict that by the end of the week, the Bruins (who are only one point behind them, even having played 4 less games) will overtake the Buds (much to Andy Renton's delight). I should have known better than to get my hopes up, unfortunately. I have stopped even attempting to watch the games because the Leafs have been blowing so many third period leads and have lost some games so badly that it is just painful.
I had a moment of silence last night because I knew that I was missing the Concert of the Century. Pearl Jam was opening for the final show of U2's Vertigo tour in Honolulu, Hawaii and I knew that I couldn't be there to see my two favourite bands rock out together. I am in mourning.
I am reading a history of the American Civil War, one of my favourite historical events, and quite enjoying the educational experience. I am determined not to let my mind turn to mush during my month off and so I plan on reading a variety of different books to stimulate my brain and continue my practice of lifelong learning. Yeah, me!
I will updating the blog much more often now that school is done, so stay tuned! Hope all of my loyal readers are well. Cheers...

We'll all look forward to the renewed vigour with which you will be blogging. Since our lives are not exciting enough we need you to liven them up.
As for the Leafs, opponents are outscoring them 18-2 in the third period during their recent streak. Not good for anyone, in any sport, at any time. The Bruins will overtake them.
Hope you enjoy your holidays!
