congratulations to #13!!
I was going to use this blog to rant about how angry I was at my beloved Leafs for letting Calgary get right back into the game tonight after jumping out to a 2-0 lead, but rather I will congratulate our captain, Mats Sundin, on scoring the overtime winner shorthanded on a beautiful slapshot from just inside the blue line--the 500TH GOAL OF HIS CAREER!! It couldn't have happened to a classier hockey player and an all-around good guy. Leafs win, 5-4, and Sundin confirms what makes him one of the finest players in the NHL and a potential Hall of Famer. Perfect...

Another memory caught live on HOCKEY NIGHT IN CANADA. I wonder how much Cherry hates to say "what a great player" about a non-canadian?
