why I am the anti-Tupper

I spent some time watching the Victoria Day Parade with Caitlin a couple weeks back and biggest thing that I took away from it was how incredibly poor the commentary was the entire time. I kept looking forward to the commercial breaks, which alternated between the two parade sponsors, Dodd's Furniture (always ridiculous, hilarious ads) and Coast Capital Savings (the one where they loot the bank when they hear that everything is "free" and you see that girl launch herself off the counter to steal a hanging sign, very classic). You see, GORDIE TUPPER IS NOT FUNNY, even if he likes to think that he is! He and whatever female chimp he had commentating with him (she SUCKED too, by the way) were so stilted and dumb-sounding that Caitlin and I were cringing and laughing with embarrassment on behalf of Tupper and Co. Since it has been a few weeks now and I have mellowed a bit I am not going to call for the complete eradication of Gordie Tupper, which was going to be my initial proposal, but rather I am of the opinion that he should hang up his broadcasting shoes and head for the safe harbour of early retirement. Let's get some fresh blood with some actual talent and wit to be our most popular local media personality because let's be honest, Gordie's half-witted stumblings are not really getting the job done.
