CONGRATULATIONS CAITLIN!!

For those of you who don't know, my lovely fiancee Caitlin was awarded the Jubilee Medal for Humanities at her convocation ceremony this morning. Translation: she has the highest graduating GPA (8.98 out of 9!!!) of any Humanities student this year (by a mile, according to the Dean of Humanities). In his 4 minute speech the Dean lauded her brilliance in translation of ancient Greek and Latin, her perfectionist tendencies and commitment to excellence, her brilliant paper in her final term comparing how woman were described in Greek lyric poetry to their qualities described in the Song of Solomon (encomassing ancient Hebrew as well) which he said was work of a far higher quality and a more heady topic than the average undergrad would even attempt, much less receive an A+ for! He commented on her unassuming and humble nature and said how her professors considered her a wonderful student, a joy to teach. In summary, he called her one of the finest students in the history of the Faculty! I was almost crying in between snapping a bazillion pics of her while she stood there blushing and trying not to laugh at certain moments. He was right about everything he said!

Caitlin, I could not be more proud of you and your accomplishments. You are beautiful, humble, gracious, funny, kind, brilliant, and the love of my life. You make my life so much richer and more fun for being a part of it and I am so excited that you are going to be my wife. Here's to your amazing academic successes and I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!
