the impassioned bellow of Professor Doherty

It has been a great Easter weekend and I am sad to be heading back to work tomorrow. I do have a lasting memory of this weekend which I would like to share with my faithful readers. Every Easter Sunday, my church has a sunrise service at Gyro Beach. Well, this Sunday was a cold and windy morning and my friend Janet Doherty was giving a meditation on the Resurrection. It was wonderful, other than the fact that she was yelling it out in this quasi-desperate sounding voice that made it sound like she was pleading with villain, giving him reasons why she should be kept alive. I tried so hard to listen to the words but I was laughing uncontrollably as she shrieked away about Christ's love and sacrfice. This will be my lasting memory of my last church sunrise service in Victoria before I get married and move to Ontario. Thanks, Pro D, for the laughs...

I'm more than a little upset that I slept in and missed the sunrise service. I promised myself I wouldn't do that this year. It just hit me as I read this how soon it actually is that you're moving. I don't know why...maybe I needed to see it in writing. I don't really know what to say, except that I'm going to miss you two so much. Now I'm getting all emo...good thing I have chocolate sitting beside me...and Caitlin across the hall. Who knows, maybe I'll move to Ontario next summer.

None of this moving business... it's not okay with me. Let's just not talk about it and pretend it's not happening. And, by the way, I loooooooved Janet's meditation. I didn't laugh at all!
