the lost innocence of youth
I was out at Sierra Park yesterday afternoon (gorgeous day!) with a group of kids from work and while I was there a group of elementary/middle school boys were playing street hockey. Watching them play and enjoy Canada's great game made me yearn to be a kid again. I remember playing street hockey with my friends for hours on end and the feeling of being out in the sun without a care in the world. I wouldn't go so far as to say that I got misty-eyed, but watching these boys play hockey really made me reflect on my childhood and I found myself wishing that I could go back to what really seemed to be a simpler time than the present. Oh, my lost boyhood...
