had to drop it!
Great writer though I believe him to be, I had to drop John Irving's newest novel because it ventured into extremely sexual territory (surprise surprise). It is frustrating to realize an author's brilliance and love his characters but be so turned off by the fact that there is such a fixation on everything sexual. I hope he finally gets off his obsession and writes another great novel like "A Prayer for Owen Meany". I can only hope and pray...

hey matt! i found your email in my inbox notifying everyone of this blog that you had just started and in my curiosity i clicked the link. i'm excited that you have read "A Prayer for Owen Meany"! it is one of my favorite books and i don't know many people who have read it! i found myself laughing out loud, and also in tears throughout the book. definitely worth re-reading. anyway..hope all is well with you, take care and say hi to caitlin for me!
