Well, my dream has officially come true! Bono joined Eddie Vedder and Co. on stage in Toronto for PJ's cover of Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World." These two bands are my absolute faves of all time, my life's soundtrack if you will, and I am choked that I was not there. Both bands are endowed with a strong social conscience to go along with their incredible songwriting and performing abilities. Pretty friggin' sweet! It was so fortuitous that their tour stops coincided with one another in Toronto. Veds joined U2 a few nights ago during "One" before it segued into Ol' Man River (along with Daniel Lanois). Looking at pics sure made me smile...

How can I not leave a comment on a post about U2 and Pearl Jam. I must say this Matt, next PJ show, we are there... none of this crap about me not being able to go, I want to be able to sit and listen to the sweet sounds of evenflow with ya. As this is my first visit to this great blog I must say I am sure it will not be the last. I must try to find those long lost Matt's Rant's that are floating around on the web somewhere. An archive of long lost treasures I am sure everyone that has not read them will enjoy. Keep up the good work.
while "fortuitous" may be an underused word these days - the situation you describe with it was nothing but fortuitous indeed. 'twould have have been amazing to behold...
